Simone Saint Germaine Whitecloud and I were married on 06 07 08, to commemorate the occasion I'd like to offer this installation of the shoes to our beginning life together. But even more than just for our relationship I'd like to call a blessing for all of my relations, and all of our relations.

Below is a text written by Simone's grandfather Thomas Saint Germaine Whitecloud II that we offered in our ceremony. We offer it again here in installing this version of the Green Dot: All My Relations. When we say "All my relations", we mean "may we see each other with love, and offer love in all our relations.

Though this installation is on the event of our marriage we'd like to extend the invitation to all who see the Green Dot at the ATA Gallery the opportunity to place a photo or momento of their own love relationship among the shoes (try to place it safely as the lights do fade on and off within the installation!)

An Indian's Prayer

O Grandfather, whose voice we hear in the winds
and whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear us.

We are men and women before you,
some of your many children.
We are small and weak,
we need your strength and wisdom.

Let us walk in beauty and
Make our eyes ever behold
the red and purple sunsets.

Make our hands respect the things you have made,
our ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make us wise so that we may know the things
that you have taught our people,
the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.

We seek strength Grandfather,
not to be superior to our brothers and sisters,
but to be able to fight our worst enemy,
ourselves.

Make us ever ready to come to you
with clean hands and straight eyes,
so that when life fades as the fading sunset
our spirit may come to you without shame.
