The dot also represents the soul sphere of
influence
we have access to, the now, the moment we live in. For me the present is like
a dot, all expansive to the reaches of the world in this instant. Our actions
in this moment are alike to the dot, the ripples we create by acting fill
our life and our environment with the impact of our presence. There is no
action necessary, no planning needed to create a continuum of our actions.
The river of time itself carries us along, moment after moment within the
dot of our present. The resulting figure might be conceived of as a line,
a path, a road, a directional movement, but still the only entrance into that
path is through the realm of now, the dot-sphere of the present awareness.
Even looking back or forward through time what we find is the dense layering
of “now moments” arranged in perfect sychronicity, the shaft of
perceived, imaginary time.
The circle, or dot, doesn’t give us any further hint
into its existence other than it’s presence. There are no angles to
calculate or change, no intersection of difference to preoccupy our thought,
only the one uniform action and attitude continuing without stop.
